Considered the most beautiful of the goddesses, Aphrodite was born as a result of the battle between the titan Cronus and his brother Uranus.
After Uranus was defeated, his body was cut into pieces and thrown into the sea. A column of water rose from the spot and Aphrodite emerged from it.
The Goddess of Love wore a belt that caused many men - and several Olympian gods - to fall in love with her.
