As the supreme lord of Mount Olympus, Zeus carried a scepter in one hand and a sheaf of lightning bolts in the other, given to him by the Cyclops (one-eyed, three-headed giants) in the battle against his father, Cronus.
According to Greek legend, Zeus' first accomplishment as leader of the New Gods was the creation of man.
