The characters created by JIM HENSON became orphans a few years ago. Jim departed after creating products unparalleled in art and technique anywhere else in the world. His team has carried on his work. As have his wife and children. And from a meeting of Mauricio with that team, responsible for fantastic products, came the idea to create, here in the studios in Brazil, short stories of the Jim Henson characters: the Muppets Babies, which already had animated films on TV. We did a few stories that turned out very good, but there was no real tie-in for us to continue the project. Perhaps because of the great quantity of material that had to be produced by our studios at a time when we were hardly able to keep up with the demand for Monica & Friends.
