Mauricio de Sousa’s characters, Monica’s Gang and Ronaldinho’s Team, appear on hundreds of publications, products and animated cartoons for children in over 20 countries. They took the spotlight at this year's most important European fairs: BOLOGNA BOOK FAIR, MIP TV and LONDON BOOK FAIR.
 
In Bologna, some major attractions at the MSP stand were: the introduction of Monica as the first toon character on the planet to become Ambassador for Unicef; the launching of Girassol collection of Monica’s books featuring Andersen, Perrault and Grimm’s tales; the Melhoramentos collection of Monica’s books “Have Fun and Learn”; and a bunch of new Ronaldinho Gaucho’s comic books in France and in the Nordic countries.
 
Mauricio’s characters not only have a definitive presence in publishing but also in licensing, animated cartoons, promotions, educational campaigns, theme parks and the website www.monica4kids.com with over 16,000 pages of free access and 30 million visitors per month.
